Robert J. Sowers

Robert J. Sowers, age 79 of rural Sycamore, Ohio died at 4:50 A.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Seneca House, Tiffin, Ohio. He was born on November 16, 1940 to Glenn and Winterfred (Luman) Sowers. He married Marjorie (Lucius) Sowers on August 5, 1964 in Sycamore, Ohio. She survives in rural Sycamore.

Also surviving are the following children: Robert G. Sowers, Tiffin, Ohio, Christine (Les) Harsh, Crestline, Ohio, Donna (Mark) Lambert, Bloomville, Ohio and Joe Sowers, Tiffin, Ohio. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, Keylee Sowers, Braxton Sowers, Michael France, Michelle Kalnins, Randy Lambert, Melody Schirack, Knycalus Ledesma, Syidah Ledesma, Derrick Sowers, MacKenzie Sowers, Marlina Sowers and Mallorie Sowers plus four great grandchildren. He is survived by one brother, William Sowers, Findlay, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Glenn Sowers Jr. and two sisters, Katherine Harp and Caroline Fetterman.

Bob worked for ten years at National Machinery, Tiffin, Ohio but his real love was tree trimming which he did the rest of his life. He was a member of the Tiffin YMCA. For hobbies he enjoyed trapping, hunting, being outdoors and watching sprint car races. He also enjoyed making stain glass lamps and suncatchers for his family and friends. He also enjoyed putting puzzles together, watching his grandchildren play sports and just spending time with them.                                                                            

Memorial services for Bob will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 12 Noon-2:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service.
