Maggie K. Poston, age 81 of Sycamore, Ohio died at 1:55 A.M., Monday, March 11, 2024 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on September 28, 1942 in Wyandot County to Edward and Goldie (Swayne) Houdeshell. She married Maxie D. Poston on April 7, 1962 and he died August 27, 2011.
Surviving are a daughter, Kimberlie (Michael) Mathes, rural Tiffin, Ohio and a son, Philip Poston, state of Washington. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Donald Houdeshell, and two sisters, Marie Modzel and Vera Kline. She also loved her two cats, Big Boy and Pretty Girl.
Maggie was a self-employed cleaning lady having cleaned for many people in the Sycamore area. She was a 1960 graduate of Mohawk High School, member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Tiffin, a former member of the Mohawk Lioness Club, Crimson Chapeau’s Red Hat Society, Upper Sandusky, and the Red Hat Devos of Sycamore. She at one time was a part time helper for the Wyandot County Commission on Aging in Sycamore and for 20 years volunteered at Wenner Galbraith Preschool. For hobbies, she loved to read, sew and crochet.
A memorial service for Maggie will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tiffin with Pastor Jan Kucera officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. - 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the church prior to the memorial service.
