Joseph C. Sauber

Joseph C. Sauber, age 73 of Tiffin, Ohio died at 3:53 A.M., Thursday, April 28, 2022 at home. He was born in Tiffin, Ohio on December 12, 1948 to Charles and Sylvia (Funk) Sauber. His parents later divorced and Charles married Irene (Roberts) Sauber and Sylvia married Paul Koepfer. They all preceded him in death. Joseph married Donna (Huffman) on July 19, 1969 and she survives in Tiffin.                          

Surviving are the following children: Todd Sauber and friend, Tina Alexander, Tiffin, Ohio, Deb (Tim) Baum, rural Sycamore, Ohio and Shiloh Sauber and friend, Katie Vogel, Tiffin, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Lane (Jordon) Sauber, Lauren Sauber, Jena (Caleb) Bollinger, Trent Baum and Cleo Sauber plus one great grandchild, Kayson Sauber and also another great grandchild due in June. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and George Sauber plus a twin sister, Kay Ranker.                     

Joe was a self employed construction worker, a 1967 graduate pf Hopewell Loudon High School, a social member of the Sycamore American Legion Post # 250, a member of the New Riegel Moose Lodge and a member of the Fostoria United Sportsmen’s Club.                                                                                                       

For hobbies, Joe loved to go hunting, boating and loved his antique cars. He also greatly loved his dog King.  

A memorial service for Joe will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Rev. Amy Vittorio officiating . Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, McCutchenville, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service.
