Harold P. McDermott, Jr.

Harold P. McDermott Jr., age 59, of 4873 County Highway 35, Sycamore, Ohio died at 7:21 A.M., Wednesday February 24, 2021 at The Ohio State University East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born on September 17, 1961 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Harold P. and Alice (Kessler) McDermott Sr. His father died in 2013 and his mother survives in rural Sycamore, Ohio. He married Jeannie (Daniel) McDermott on January 8, 1996 after celebrating twenty-five years of marriage. She survives in rural Sycamore, Ohio.                                                        

Also surviving are a daughter, Sabrina McDermott and fiancé Steven Serbinski, Ada, Ohio, a son Robert McDermott, rural Sycamore, Ohio and one brother, Jeff McDermott, Carey, Ohio.                                                    

Harold enjoyed farming, worked for twelve years for Caliber Auto Transfer, Fostoria, Ohio and also at one time worked for Lininger Farms. He was a 1979 graduate of Mohawk High School and a member of the Mohawk Young Farmers.                                                                                                                                               

For hobbies, Harold loved to attend auctions and flea markets, cut and sell firewood, loved to do woodworking and do handyman projects for other people, and also loved to tinker in his shed.       

A Celebration of Life Service for Harold will be held at a later date.
