Francis E. Wyeth

Francis E. Wyeth, age 87 formerly of 5027 Marion-Melmore Road, Sycamore, Ohio died at 3:22 A.M., Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab. He was born on January 22, 1934 in McArthur, Ohio to Royal and Hallie (Via) Wyeth. He married Roberta (McDermott) Wyeth on January 6, 1956 and she died on March 28, 2021.                                                                                                        

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Debra Wyeth, rural Sycamore, Ohio, four grandchildren, Cory Steinmetz, Megan Blubaugh, Mindy Barth and Miranda Mosman, eleven great-grandchildren and one brother, Richard (Pat) Wyeth, Nevada, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a son, Mitch Wyeth who died February 4, 2017, two sisters and two brothers plus his parents.                                                                                                                  

Francis was a general laborer having worked at the former Continental Hose, Upper Sandusky, Ohio and then later in life became a truck driver. He was a graduate of Holmes Liberty High School and served his country during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1955 serving in the Army.                                                                        

For hobbies, Francis loved to go metal detecting and gold prospecting plus working on cars.                                         

A graveside service for Francis will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Oceola Cemetery with the Rev. Amy Vittorio officiating. Also their will be a military graveside service conducted by the Sycamore American Legion Post # 250.
