Carolyn R. Bogard

Carolyn R. Bogard, age 89 formerly of Sycamore, Ohio died at 8:45 P.M. Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on October 22, 1936 in Carey, Ohio to Nial and Gertrude (Sopher) Stillberger. She married Billy Joe Bogard on January 16, 1953 and he passed on June 12, 2020.  

Surviving are the following children: Brad “Fuzz” (Janet Vallery) Bogard, Sycamore, Ohio, Terry (Geri) Bogard, Tiffin, Ohio and Brian Bogard, Sylvania, Ohio, plus three grandchildren, Wade (Becky Miller) Bogard, Trent (Erica Mesnard) Bogard, and Carli (Gage) Gorman. Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren: Cooper Bogard, Cash Bogard, Brady Miller, Rowan, Finn and Kinli Gorman, Brixton, Knox and Averiahna Bogard, and Jentson Halcomb. Also, Carolyn has two sisters-in-law surviving, Virginia Stillberger and Hazel Stillberger. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lynn and James Stillberger. 

Carolyn was a cafeteria worker for 18 years at the Sycamore Elementary School.

She was a former member of the Tiffin Moose Lodge and a former social member of the Sycamore American Legion Post #250. Carolyn and her husband Bill worked many years at the Sycamore American Legion Ballfield concession stand. She volunteered at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital as a greeter and loved music, especially Elvis, Tom Jones, and any country music. 

A graveside service for Carolyn will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio with Rev. Darrin Harvey officiating.
