Sheldon L Scott

Sheldon L. Scott, age 90 formerly of 4461 South County Road 19, Tiffin, Ohio died at 4:30 A.M., Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Seneca House, Tiffin, Ohio. He was born on January 23, 1928 in Tiffin, Ohio to Gibson and Mabel (McElheny) Scott. He married Thea (Chester) Scott on April 20, 1947 and she died April 10, 2016.  

Surviving are the following children: Theresa (Dan) Cleveland, Green Springs, Ohio, Linda (Hank) Brookes, rural Tiffin, Ohio. Jeff (Charlotte) Scott. rural Tiffin, Ohio and Monte (Dianne) Scott, rural Tiffin, Ohio. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Coletta Corthell, besides his wife and parents.  

Sheldon was a retired farmer, but also hauled Ag Lime and Stone with his brother-in-law, Walter Corthell. He also earlier in life worked at Gay Lanes Bowling Alley, Tiffin, Ohio and as a pop distributor for the former S&S Beverage, Tiffin, Ohio. 

He was a 1946 graduate of Melmore High School. For hobbies he loved bowling, golfing, playing cards, fox hunting, deer hunting in Pennsylvania, mushroom hunting and playing bingo. 

A memorial service for Sheldon will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Mr Jeff Wagner officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 1:00-4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
