Kathryn M. Chester

Kathryn M. Chester, age 92 of 106 East Eighth Street, Sycamore, Ohio died at 7:52 P.M., Sunday, July 7, 2019 at home. She was born on March 4, 1927 in Wharton, Ohio to Alan and Fairy (Howard) Baker. She married Donald Chester on May 7, 1945 and he died May 3 1995.                                         

Surviving are the following children, Danny (Mary) Chester, Granville, Ohio, Don Chester, Tiffin, Ohio, Dave (Mary Beth) Chester, Sycamore, Ohio, Dale Chester, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Denny (Lu) Chester, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Diane (Jim) Beidelschies, Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Doug (Jean) Chester, rural Sycamore, Ohio and Delbert Chester, Sycamore, Ohio. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, Danny Chester, Tina Shull, Donnie Jr. Chester, Danny Shook, Joe Chester, Mike Chester, Jamie Chester, Tammy Jeffrey, Angie Stark, Todd Beidleschies, Jason Beidelschies, Jackie Wellman and Caleb Chester plus twenty-six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Jane (Bill) Ogg, Findlay, Ohio, two brothers, Frank Baker, Wharton, Ohio and Dave (Faye) Baker, Midland, Texas. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristi Leigh, one great-grandson, four brothers and three sisters.    

Kathryn retired from Westinghouse-A.O. Smith, Upper Sandusky, Ohio after working for twenty-five years. She also was well known for her cake and cookie business where she catered many weddings throughout her lifetime. For hobbies she loved embroidering when she wasn’t baking cakes.    

A memorial service for Kathryn will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Benton Cemetery, Crawford County, Ohio .Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 11:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
