Dewey N. DeTray

Dewey N. DeTray, age 89 formerly of McCutchenville, Ohio died at 12:10 A.M., Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Elmwood Assisted Living of Tiffin. He was born on March 15, 1929 in McCutchenville, Ohio to Harry and Jessie (Stalter) DeTray. He married Eileen (Wagner) DeTray on November 23, 1949 in Tiffin, Ohio and she survives in Tiffin, Ohio.                                                

Surviving are three sons, Dennis (Peg) DeTray, Tiffin, Ohio, Douglas (Bonnie) DeTray, Sycamore, Ohio, and Kevin DeTray, Bucyrus, Ohio. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jessica Armstrong, Dustin DeTray, Elizabeth DeTray and Nick DeTray plus one great-grandchild, Zachary Armstrong. Also surviving are two step-grandchildren, Mitchell and Megan Armstrong. He was preceded in death by one sister, Nora Bell Might besides his parents.                                                                                                             

Dewey retired from Tiffin Developmental Center having worked in the maintenance department for many years. He was a 1947 graduate of McCutchenville High School. He loved all the Cleveland sport teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also loved to spend time with his family

A memorial service for Dewey will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Matt Garrabrant officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Bethel Cemetery, McCutchenville, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. prior to the memorial service.
