Dean R. Nye

Dean R. Nye, age 83 of 1985 West County Road 90, Tiffin, Ohio died at 8:40 A.M., Friday, October, 18, 2019 at home. He was born on May 5, 1936 in Kenton, Ohio to Dean A. and Jessie (Switzer) Nye. He married Joanne (Dunlap) Nye and they later divorced. He then married Linda (McNemar) Marks Nye on July 29, 1993 and she survives.                                                                                                                                 

Also surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Nye, rural Tiffin, Ohio and Von Nye, rural Tiffin, Ohio plus three granddaughters, Brandy (Tim) Harper, Tiffin, Ohio, Nikki (Ridge) Clady, Sycamore, Ohio and Taylor Nye, Eureka, California. Also surviving are a great grandson, Jaden Ward, great granddaughter, Addie Ward and beloved great granddaughter, Grace Schomberg plus step great granddaughters, Kirra and Aurora Harper, one sister, Carolyn (Bill) Davis, Fostoria, Ohio plus many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Virginia Zeigler and Mary Grundtisch, brothers, Billy, Joseph, Philip, Paul and John Nye and stepson, Arnold Marks.  

Dean retired from the former Sterling Abrasive, Tiffin, Ohio after thirty-nine years of employment. The family would like to thank Bridge Hospice and special friends Ginny Ridner, Early Spradlin and Dr. John Vela and his staff.  

Funeral services for Dean will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Pastor Kristin Buchs officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
